Faith Kid's

We believe it is our mission to equip and assist families in laying spiritual foundations with the hope that all children will come to know, to love  and to follow Jesus.  From loving nurseries to fun and meaningful Sunday School and summer programs, we seek to meet the spiritual needs of all children. 

Sunday Morning 

Childcare for Infants through Pre-Kindergarten is available during all Worship Services. 

9:45 and 11:00  -  We offer age level Sunday School classes for chidren age 3 - 5th Grade. Caring and loving teachers present Bible based lessons that help our children see, hear, and live their belief in God

Third graders are presented with Bibles from our church at the beginning of the school year. It is a significant time for the congregation to celebrate this step in the faith journey of our children and with God. Throughout the school year during their Sunday School time, the third grade class will be  actively participaing in  "Bible Zone 101" as they explore and learn ways to use the Bible.  

Summer Fun at Faith ...

Art-is-In
June 7 - 11, 2010
9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. 
 

This is a week long day camp during which a team of professionals from Frick and Frack Music develop and produce a full-scale Broadway style musical featuring local children currently in Kindergarten - 5th grade as cast, choir and crew.  Auditons, intensive rehearsals, performing arts instruction and a finished performance on Friday evening are all part of the camp.  With a strong emphasis on helping children discover their unique spritual gifts and talents, every   ART-is-IN camp provides Biblicaly based instruction and principals along with quality arts  education.  Registration is currently open and forms can be picked up at the church office or contact the Susan McElya in the Children's ministry office (281) 341-8200 ext. 114 or susan.mcelya@faithumc.org

Vacation Bible School
July 19 - 23, 2010
9:00 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. 

 (Open to children age 3 as of January 1, 2010 through current 5th graders.)

Join us for a High Seas Adventure.  Get ready for the voyage of the lifetime? That’s just what they’ll do at High Seas, where kids explore the mighty love of God!

At High Seas Expedition, kids explore the mighty love of God on a journey that will change them forever! High Seas Expedition is filled with incredible Bible learning kids see, hear, touch, and even taste!

Bible Point crafts, teambuilding games, cool Bible songs, and tasty treats are just a few of the High Seas Expedition activities that help faith flow into real life. Plus, we’ll help kids discover how to see evidence of God in everyday life—something we call God Sightings. 

Your kids will also participate in a hands-on mission project collecting back packs and school supplies to be used in our local community!

Throughout the Year at Faith ...

Missions

Children of all ages participate in various Mission projects throughout the year. Hands–on opportunities include assembling personal health kits for  victims of disasters around the world and collecting food items for area kitchen pantries. Global mission work is also encouraged through support of Heifer International and other worldwide charities.

Children's Choirs

The Children’s Choirs sing in worship services monthly. All children’s choirs rehearse on Wednesdays from 4:30 – 5:30 pm, during the school year. We also offer an after school program on choir days which is complementary and includes school pick up, snack, homework help, and play time.
