Faith School for Young Children was formed as an outreach ministry of FUMC to reach out to children and their families within our church and surrounding community. Our goal is to help nurture children in a loving and caring environment where they can learn and grow emotionally, educationally and spiritually in an effort to become all that God means for them to become while balancing that with preparing them for Kindergarten. 
 
It is our belief that children need to not only learn their ABC's, numbers, and early reading, but to also learn Bible stories and see for themselves how God loves them. This is accomplished through monthly educational themes followed by bible verses, bible stories and songs taught daily by our director. An example is the educational theme of deserts tied with the color brown/beige and the rough texture of sand while also teaching children about the story of Moses and how he was found as a baby floating in the basket and that God had a true mighty purpose for Moses and his life. 
 
We consider ourselves to be a part of the children's extended families and therefore our ministry includes surrounding them with love and fellowship as we strive to prepare them for Kindergarten and life later on. We feel that not only are we called to prepare them intelligently for elementary school, but also socially and to help them see that God is also there for them. Our school motto is: "Learning to love….Loving to learn."  
 
 
To witness the world through the eyes of a child is one of our greatest joys and we feel privileged that God blesses us each day in this manner.
