CanCare

CanCare is a wonderful cancer ministry that is supported by Faith United Methodist Church along with many other Houston-area congregations. It offers hope and support to those experiencing the day-to-day struggles of cancer. CanCare is a faith-based local organization that attempts to match a newly diagnosed cancer patient with a trained survivor who can share experiences, offer information, resources and encouragement but also supports the person in a prayerful manner. Participants talk to others who have survived the same type of cancer, diagnosis, and treatment.

Al-Anon 
 
Al-Anon is a twelve-step fellowship providing support and help to family members and friends of alcoholics. Anyone whose life has been affected by someone else's drinking is eligible for membership in Al-Anon. 
 
Faith United Methodist Church hosts a weekly Al-Anon meeting.

DivorceCare 
 
DivorceCare is a special weekly seminar and support group for people who are separated or divorced. The DivorceCare program is a biblical approach to divorce, separation, and related issues led by caring people who understand what people are going through and want to help, such as reconciliation, remarriage, forgiveness and the effect of divorce on children and families. DivorceCare emphasizes that real healing from the intense pain of divorce must begin with a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Faith United Methodist Church will begin a new program in September. Child Care is available through 5th grade upon request.

Ft. Bend Seniors - Meals on Wheels - Ministry Opportunity
 
Seniors go hungry every day in Ft. Bend County simply because there are not enough folks who will deliver a hot meal.  Faith has partnered with Ft. Bend Seniors to be a distribution center for Meals on Wheels.  What an amazing opportunity for outreach, this is who we are!  Anyone interested in helping, even if it's once a month or you just want to learn more, please contact Virginia Humphrey at 832-692-5494 or email at vhumphry@comcast.net.

General Information - Please....

Meals are availabe in the Annex ~10:15 am.
Remember to bring your own cooler if you do not want to return to Faith UMC after you complete your route.
All Faith UMC coolers must be signed out and returned on the returned on the same day.
Leave the coolers unzipped and wipe-out any spillage (w/ the Clorax wipes in the closet)when you return the coolers to the closest.
